Will Music Lessons Make You Smarter?

January 15, 2014 by Suzanne Schell

From TakeLessons.org:

If you’re like me, math might not be your strongest subject in school. There are a lot of ways to get better at the subject, such as getting a tutor or doing extra studying, but one method for improving math skills may surprise you: music lessons.

Today’s infographic from TakeLessons.com shows some of the learning benefits gained from music lessons, especially at an earlier age. Music lessons can help not only with mathematics but also with reading comprehension. Even some of the most recognized names in science and invention had some musical training, including Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Bill Gates to name a few.
